Australian Soundwave Festival & Gigs With Madball and Sick Of It All Confirmed

This week, Long Island-based hardcore innovators VISION OF DISORDER will hit the stage for the first time in 2013 with a duo of East Coast gigs, once again in support of their acclaimed new album, The Cursed Remain Cursed. This Saturday, January 26th they will storm Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey followed by Sunday at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York, with support from fellow NYC tech metal squad Car_Bomb at both shows.

Next week, VOD will cross the country for their first West Coast headlining performances supporting the new album at Studio Seven in Seattle on Friday, February 1st, and at the Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, California the next night.

Later this month, VISION OF DISORDER will traverse the globe for a massive set of festival and tour dates across Australia. First set to perform as part the massive Soundwave Festival across the country along with Linkin Park, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Ghost, Tomahawk and countless others. Between the festival’s segments, VOD will also share the stage with longtime hometown NYCH brethren Sick Of It All and Madball for two crushing shows together. See the band’s full tour itinerary posted below.

The first album from VISION OF DISORDER in over a decade, The Cursed Remain Cursed was released September 18th via Candlelight Records. One of the most dynamic and cleverly destructive releases in VOD‘s twenty year history, the album surges with over forty minutes of brand new material, produced by Will Putney (Shadows Fall, Suicide Silence) and mixed by Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Social Distortion), and is already an instant classic with longtime fans of the band.

VOD has released official videos for the songs “Hard Times” and “Set To Fail” in addition to releasing audio for the opening track “Loveless.”

“…a rock-solid return for the seminal metalcore act, and is a smart, sinister contribution to this year’s field of extreme music.” – Lambgoat

“…a welcome return… 4/5” – Revolver

“… the effort more than lives up to the high bar the band have previously set. Truly Vision Of Disorder‘s long-awaited return sees them emerging even more fearsome. 4/5” – The PRP

“…a criminally undervalued band… their first studio album since 2001, is the latest evidence of how great the band is. 4.5/5” – About.com

“…VOD completely embody what metalcore is all about, yet totally redefine it as well. 4.5/5” – The New Review
